For authentic Safari accommodation, Thanda’s tented safari camp is built and decorated in colonial safari style. The fourteen safari tents each have bathrooms en suite, whilst the spacious rooms have luxurious beds and comfortable loungers. The decks have comfortable chairs and the most have an outlook over the bushveld. The public areas include a large dining tent, outdoor boma, outdoor lounge and a swimming pool for relief on hot summer days.

The camp is powered by generator for only a few hours each day, this so that guests may charge essentials such as cameras, laptops or cell phones. This makes the most of the natural atmosphere of a tented camp and lighting is provided only by the boma fire and paraffin lamps. Limited electric lighting is provided in the bathrooms and bedside lamps in all the tents. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted at the tented camp for safety reasons as the camp is unfenced.

Thanda Luxury Honeymoon Tent
Thanda’s Honeymoon tent has a king-sized bed, and a separate lounge area with a luxurious bathroom which in addition to a large oval bath has an outdoor shower and plunge pool which has panoramic views of the bushveld.

Thanda Tented Camp does not admit children under 8 years old.
